Annie's Trunk show: Vested Interest
| This unlined, fitted vest (Burda 7769) is made from 100% linen. The pattern is designed with a notched shawl collar which I chose to ignore in favor of keeping the smooth line of the shawl collar. I top-stitched nearly all seams, front darts, and edges using two threads (as if using one) (Metrosene) and a long stitch length. The MOP buttons are a perfect match. I chose not to make the welt pockets as I prefer weaing a belt. My vest is pictured here with an OOP Vogue 7302 skirt, an orphan for many years as nothing ever seemed quite the right color until now. I am happy to say this top works well. | |
