Sewist: Beth

Project: 1940s jacket
Fabric: green cashmere
Lining: Nanette Lepore 100% silk
Closures: bound buttonholes
Pattern: Vogue
Notes: This project sat for years unfinished because Beth’s old house had moths. There were multiple moth holes on the back shoulder area so she appliquéd bits from her cashmere into a leaf/branch pattern to hide the hole. Another stumbling block was that she couldn’t find a lining that that liked until she saw the hydrangea print! Perfect with this wool.
