Sewist: Beth
Project: | 1940s jacket |
Fabric: | green cashmere |
Lining: | Nanette Lepore 100% silk |
Closures: | bound buttonholes |
Pattern: | Vogue |
Notes: | This project sat for years unfinished because Beth’s old house had moths. There were multiple moth holes on the back shoulder area so she appliquéd bits from her cashmere into a leaf/branch pattern to hide the hole. Another stumbling block was that she couldn’t find a lining that that liked until she saw the hydrangea print! Perfect with this wool. |
