Sewist: Liz P.
stretch silk crêpe print
Liz, a regular in our Monday sewing class, made this beautiful velour-like coat for her daughter Olivia, who was along to lend a helping hand. After choosing her pattern and making a few muslins, she was off to the races. Liz chose a fabulous printed silk lining which she underlined with a lightweight cotton flannel for extra warmth. Unusual buttons and perfectly executed bound buttonholes also make this stunning coat a real standout. Thanks to Liz’s expert tailoring and sewing skills, the finished coat fits Olivia beautifully and will keep her warm and stylish for years to come.
